From the beginning of May 2019, Solaris Bus & Coach in co-operation with Public Trollybus Operator in Gdynia (PKT) is testing very first bi-articulated trolleybus by Solaris.

Solaris Trollino 24 will be tested in Gdynia for next weeks up to early July. The aim of these tests is homologation and optimization of the vehicle and steering systems. The vehicle has 4 axles (two drive axles) and additional batteries, which allow driving without infrastructure. The official premiere of this product will take place in October during the Busworld exhibition in Brussels.

In the future, this bi-articulated 24-meter length is going to be a platform for other alternative drivelines including electric, hybrid and trolleybuses.
